Deer Defeat uses only all natural ingredients approved by the EPA as non harmful to human health and the environment.
Deer Defeat can be used year round.
Can Deer Defeat be used on vegetables? Deer Defeat cannot be used directly on vegetables, because one of the active ingredients is egg, however one can protect the garden vegetables by spraying on the perimeter of the garden on the grass for a width of 2 feet creating a sort of invisible fence. It should be reapplied after mowing.
How should Deer Defeat be used? On all non vegetable plants Deer Defeat can be sprayed directly on the plants.
Should the plants be saturated with Deer Defeat? Our Deer Defeat Repellent is very strong therefore you never need to saturate the plants. In early spring, and the very first time you spray your plants, cover the plants totally with a light spray. Thereafter spray the plants with a very light mist as needed. In the winter totally cover the plants you like to protect to get them ready for the winter. Late November is ideal in cold areas and follow in late January. Just 2 applications will keep deer away the whole winter.
When should planted flowers be sprayed with Deer Defeat? New plants should be sprayed as soon as they are planted. If you forget, you might not find them next day. Deer will eat some and pull out the rest.
When should perennials flowers be sprayed with Deer Defeat? Perennials should be sprayed as soon as they emerge. Apply liberally (you must see visible drops) to plants during no wind and at least 4 hours before rainfall. During the plant’s rapid growth stage, or every 6 to 7 inches of new growth reapply weekly and then monthly thereafter. Additionally with plants such as tulips, hosta and lilies apply when the buds first appear. With other blooming plants reapply before flowering. The scent of the repellent will discourage the deer from returning to your yard. No need to reapply after normal rain fall. Winter use: Shake well before each use. Spray late November or before snowfall. Make sure to coat the entire evergreen with repellent. Reapply again in late January or early February. Edible Plants: Apply liberally to the grass 2 ft. wide around the perimeter of the garden. Reapply after mowing.
Can Deer Defeat Repellent be used in the winter? Deer Defeat can be used throughout the year. Cold weather does not affect the performance. You should periodically shake the repellent in the winter as the oils tend to separate with the cold weather. Spray the bushes in the fall before the snow falls, ideally by the end of November and then towards the end of January. Oils in Deer Defeat Repellent will also coat and protect your plants from cold temperatures and wind burn in the winter.
Does Deer Defeat have to be registered as a pesticide with the EPA? Deer Defeat is exempt from federal and state registration as a pesticide, because Deer Defeat uses only ingredients that the EPA has declared to be non harmful to human health, animals and/or the environment.
Deer Defeat has been described as having a strong salad dressing like odor. The odor dissipates approximately 10/15 minutes after being applied. Humans will not smell it but all the animals with very sensitive sense of smell will keep away from the sprayed plants.
When should Deer Defeat not be applied? Deer Defeat should not be applied within four (4) hours of rainfall or on the windy days, as the wind will blow the spray away from the plants.
What about the rain, all the repellents have to be reapplied after it rains? Deer Defeat Repellent is LONG LASTING. Deer Defeat has been tested in the rain, the unique formula is strong enough to withstand 2 months of steady daily rains.
Deer Defeat Repellent will keep the deer away by smell. For years we were observing the deer and their habits. You should start using deer repellent early in the spring. If you have a lot of deer problem start spraying immediately, this will train the deer to stay away. You will notice less and less deer frequent your yard. They might cross through on the way to your neighbors property but deer will keep the distance from all your sprayed flowers and bushes. You can read our observation for more info. In the winter with all the ice and snow on the ground deer will still keep away from your evergreens. If you follow our spraying instruction, the deer will never get close to your sprayed evergreens. Deer Defeat Repellent will create an invisible fence for deer. Try it and you will be surprised, it works like magic. Our product is 100 % Guaranteed or your money back.
How does Deer Defeat compare cost wise with a deer fence? There is NO comparison. To install a good deer fence for 1 Acre of land ,it might be as expensive as $28,000.00, comparing to the cost of 1 Gal of Concentrate which covers 16,000 ......sq feet and it costs only $159...... plus shipping and handling per bottle. Permanent deer fences create a prison look for the residential property. A lot of people like to have the fence up in the winter and they have it removed in the spring. This is very expensive practice and it could be avoided with Deer Defeat Repellent. By just spraying it few times a year your plants will be protected all year long. You will not need any deer fencing.
Can Deer Defeat Repellent be used on fruit trees? Deer Defeat Repellent can not be sprayed directly on the fruit or fruit trees. The repellent could only be used if sprayed on the perimeter. This is good for people that have a small yard but not for large farms. Currently we are testing apple orchards and vineyards in other ways than applying direct spray. We will keep you posted of the progress. Watch for our Blog/Forum .
Does your product harm the deer? Our product is all natural and it does not harm the deer, they do not come in contact with the repellent.
You can still feed the deer; just spray the plants that you do not want the deer to eat with Deer Defeat.

They are eating all my apples and peaches. I swear they climb on each other’s backs to reach them. Yes they can create quite some damage. Deer browse or eat approximately 4 -5 % of their weight in food. As some deer weight up to 150 lb. that can add up to approximately 6 to 7.5 lb in food per deer. If you have a heard of deer that can add up to many pounds of forage on a daily basis. To protect your fruit, you have to spray the perimeter grass. You also have to remember to re spray after you mow.
Is it safe for my dogs? I never know where they will run? The spray is all natural and will not harm your dogs. We have reports that some dogs lick the plants after they are sprayed.
No it does not. We are taking care of some plants on a farm. The plants are growing in black plastic. We spray the plants without regard to temperatures. We sprayed the plants on some days when the outside air temperature was 95 degrees and the plants did not wilt. What we saw was a growth spurt every time we sprayed.
Yes as it is all natural, it never gets to your well unless you pour it in.
Deer Defeat will actually protect your plants from the deer and winter damage. The all natural oils will act as a protector. In the spring time the leaflets will be greener and healthier.
